Featuring:
William H. Spence is Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of PPL Corporation. He oversees the day-to-day operations of PPL’s generating and marketing operations, its electricity delivery businesses in Pennsylvania and outside the United States and its development functions and energy services activities. He also serves as a member of PPL’s Corporate Leadership Council, which sets the strategic direction for the company and its subsidiaries.

Spence joined PPL in 2006. Previously, he had 19 years of service with Pepco Holdings and its heritage companies, Delmarva Power and Conectiv. He joined Delmarva Power in 1987 in the company’s regulated gas business, where he held various management positions before being named vice president of trading for Delmarva Power in 1996. In that position, he helped to grow the trading operations from inception to more than $2 billion in revenues and integrated the merchant operations of Atlantic City Electric and Delmarva Power during the merger of the two companies.

Spence was named senior vice president of Conectiv in 2000, prior to the merger with Pepco, and eventually was named president of Pepco Holdings’ $3 billion competitive generation and retail marketing businesses.

Spence earned a bachelor’s degree in petroleum and natural gas engineering from Penn State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Bentley College in Waltham, Mass. He also is a graduate of the Executive Development Program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Spence is president of the board of directors of the Delaware Museum of Natural History. Bill Spence oversees the day-to-day operations of PPL’s generating, marketing, delivery and international operations and helps set the strategic direction for the company.




Lori Hess
, Vice President of Strategic Business Development, drives strategic account management, marketing and communication for Siemens Transportation Systems, Inc., a full-service provider of mass transit and freight rail products and solutions in North America.

Prior to joining the transportation industry, Lori served as Director, Operational Audit with Siemens Corporation in New York City and Corporate Development Audit in Munich. In this capacity, she worked closely with many Siemens operating companies to improve business results.

Before being named Regional Operations Manager for Siemens Communications covering the Southeastern US, Lori held a variety of management positions, such as system designer, quality manager, and installation manager. Lori’s advancement demonstrates her commitment and dedication to Siemens’ customers that began when she first started as a divisional sales representative.

A native of upstate New York, Lori is a graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton’s School of Management, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management.




Xanthi Pinkerton
, Corporate Communications Manager, leads integrated internal and external communications for Siemens Transportation Systems, Inc., a full-service provider of mass transit and freight rail products and solutions in North America.

Before coming to Siemens, Xanthi began her career in marketing and communications over 10 years ago. She has worked with a variety of famous brands such as, Coors, Reebok, Energizer and Pacific Bell. After moving to Sacramento, CA, she had the opportunity to work on community outreach programs for the state with the Healthy Families program and soon entered the fast food industry as a Marketing Supervisor for McDonald’s Corporation.

As the corporate communications manager, Xanthi enjoys working with the employees for internal communications, implementing successful integrated marketing, advertising and public relations campaigns and developing corporate responsibility programs that reach out to the community.

A native of California, Xanthi graduated from UC Irvine with a degree from the School of Fine Arts, Drama, and from the School of Humanities, History. She is fluent in Spanish and German and is actively engaged in the transportation industry as a committee member with the American Public Transportation Association and is a member of the Chinese Asian Pacific Islanders Together for Advocacy and Leadership group.



As founder of SafeHome Filter Systems, Sam McLamb is credited with developing the concept of offering a safe, easy and effective industrial level chemical filter for home use. Sam began by developing partnerships with leaders in indoor air quality field and worked with academia and engineers to develop and test products. Sam has built SafeHome Filters from the ground up with a focus on customer satisfaction- from the bags filters come in through a customer’s web experience.

In addition to launching SafeHome Filter Systems, Sam spends time assisting local entrepreneurs through Mountain Biz Works, a not-for profit that helps western North Carolina businesses grow and flourish.

Prior to launching SafeHome Filters, Sam worked with RadioShack Corporation where he led a high performance team responsible for marketing strategy and execution for more than $550 million of sales in computers, digital cameras, networking and related technologies. Sam’s experience with RadioShack included creating merchandising strategies, working with partners such as HP, Sony and Casio on marketing promotions, and developing plans for launching a new sales channel.

Sam has also worked for the Natural Texas Forest and Land Management, a land restoration service provider, as Director of Business Development. While there, Sam helped launch a new service offering to improve ranch habitat for wildlife management.

Sam has also worked with several national not-for-profits, including the National Parks Conservation Association. At NPCA, he helped build a grassroots coalition of more than 180 businesses and organizations, cultivated donor relationships and lobbied members of Congress and the Senate to protect America’s National Park System.

Sam holds a degree in biology from the University of the South where he was in the pre-medical program. Sam also holds a Masters of Business Administration with honors from The McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.

When Sam is not hard at work improving SafeHome Filters, he can usually be found enjoying time with his family or whitewater kayaking and cycling throughout the Appalachian mountains.

 


D. Hunt Ramsbottom
, Chief Executive Officer, President, & Director, Rentech Inc.

Mr. Ramsbottom, age 50, was appointed President and a director of Rentech on September 13, 2005, Chief Executive Officer on December 15, 2005, and President of Rentech Development Corporation on March 7, 2006. Mr. Ramsbottom's business and management experience spans over 25 years, including: Principal and Managing Director of Circle Funding Group LLC, 2004-2005; Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of M2 Automotive, Inc., 1997-2004; Chief Executive Officer of Thompson PBE (NASDAQ: THOM), 1989-1997; and President and Chief Executive Officer of Kellow Brown, 1986-1989.

He is active in numerous community organizations, including over 20 years with the Young President's Organization where he was most recently Chairman of the Bel Air, CA Chapter (2005-2006). Mr. Ramsbottom holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Plymouth State College. He resides in the Los Angeles area with his wife, Linda, and two boys, Alex and Nicholas.

 


Managing Director John Haskins joined 2X Software in 2006. He brought with him 11 years of certified professional server based computing sales and engineering experience. John also has experience as a certified server based computing and Microsoft instructor.

John has consulted, designed, implemented, and troubleshot over a thousand successful server based computing installations. His vast knowledge of the industry as well as his sales and technical expertise, keeps 2x's Reselling partners focused, centralized, informed and educated on how to deploy enterprise 2X solutions.

In John's spare time he coaches Pop Warner Football.

 


Robert M. Bryant
is President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB). He was appointed to this position on December 6, 1999. Mr. Bryant works closely with insurance executives and law enforcement officials to detect, prevent, and deter insurance-related crime.

Mr. Bryant has had a long and distinguished law enforcement career culminating with his appointment as Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Mr. Bryant served as the FBI’s Chief Operating Officer, managing the day-to-day operations of the FBI, and its national counterintelligence, counterterrorism and criminal programs. His responsibilities included policy and all aspects of operations, personnel, budget, technology, and security programs.

Mr. Bryant’s notable achievements were the successful investigation and prosecution of the Aldrich Ames spy case, oversight of the Oklahoma City bombing investigation, and the peaceful resolution of the Montana Freeman standoff. He also created the “Safe Streets Program,” a partnership with local authorities, which led to over 170 anti-crime task forces throughout the country.

Mr. Bryant has changed the NICB by creating a new leadership structure, which includes ten field offices throughout the United States and the development of the Strategic and Tactical Information Department. During the past eight years, NICB has developed many new programs utilizing advanced technology, enhanced training, and the development of new initiatives in legislative affairs. NICB is the premier fraud fighting organization in the world, while enhancing personnel skills, creative partnerships, and developing additional sources of fraud fighting information. The NICB is a source of fraud and theft solutions for the insurance industry.

Mr. Bryant earned his bachelor and law degrees from the University of Arkansas.
He is married and has three adult children and three grandchildren.




Jeanne Branthover
founded Branthover Associates, an executive search firm in 1980. Branthover Associates experienced tremendous growth and had become one of the leading full service-recruiting firms in New York. A trusted advisor to her clients Jeanne built her reputation through successfully working with her clients by personally managing each search assignment. Her hands-on approach with her team in completing each assignment distinguishes her from other search professionals. In January 2003, Branthover Associates became the Boyden New York office where Ms. Branthover heads the Global Financial Services Practice.

Ms. Branthover regularly appears on Bloomberg television and radio to share her insight on human capital issues. Ms. Branthover appeared on Business Week television where she advised consumers on job hunting strategies. She has also been interviewed by CNBC on various topics from the viewpoint of a CEO, as well as a Human Resources professional. Ms. Branthover has been quoted in a variety of financial magazines and publications including: The Financial Executive on succession planning, The Wall Street Journal on Managers of Multinationals, Insight Magazine on CFO Training, and the International Herald Tribune on What Companies Look For in Leaders.

Ms. Branthover recently authored a piece for World Finance magazine dedicated to addressing the global expansion of Private Banking and the rapid increase of Wealth Management services. In addition, Ms. Branthover is a published author of several career-related books.
